Why markets get cancelled

Updated over a week ago

While most markets on Gowagr resolve smoothly, there are times when a market may need to be cancelled. Cancellations are rare, but they are necessary to protect fairness, ensure compliance, and maintain the integrity of the platform. Occasionally, errors in market setup (such as incorrect dates, ranges, or payout structures) may prevent a fair resolution. In such cases, cancellation ensures users are not unfairly impacted.

When a market is cancelled, Gowagr ensures that all funds are protected. Any trades made in the affected market are refunded directly to your wallet balance. This means you don’t lose money if a market is voided.
